We’re A Which? Trusted Trader!

As of the 26^th of March 2024, we were very proud to announce that Green Man Stoves have been appointed a Which? Trusted Trader. This was a very thorough and demanding process!

The company Which? was founded in a garage in Bethnal Green in 1957. This non-profit organisation strives to “raise awareness of consumer rights and safety issues and offer impartial advice through our magazine and via public campaigns.” They are completely independent of governmental stakeholders, shareholders, or owners, underpinning their unprejudiced outlook. In addition to having their own departments on policy and research, consumer rights, legal issues, wills and later life care, Which? campaigns empower individual customers.

Which?’s objectives include:

To stand up for what’s right.
To make change happen.
To champion customers.
To bring sustainability home.

Whilst being best known for testing products, Which? also tests traders. Similar to their Best Buy scheme, Trusted Traders recognises traders in the home improvement and motor repair industries who are highly reputable. By successfully passing their assessment, a Trusted Trader becomes certified and recognisable via Which? The scheme’s website compiles a list of their Trusted Traders so customers can choose the best for their situation with the support of reliable commendation, ease, and confidence.

Therefore, Which? have deemed Green Man Stoves “has passed the rigorous assessment set by our trading standards professionals, and every customer review you read here is verified genuine by our moderators.”

The Trusted Trader certification process involved; completing a business self-assessment; providing evidence of our professional, legal and industry certification and insurances, as well as customer testimonials; agreeing to Which?’s Code of Conduct; submitting examples of our customer enquiry process, inspection reports, quotations, and acceptances for scrutiny; and undergoing vigorous interviews with Which? Trading Standards Professionals.

This was a long and challenging process that required months of dedicated efforts from all of our team. We would like to thank our customers who were asked to complete testimonials, this was a decisive factor in our application, and we couldn’t have got to this stage without you!

We are really proud to be a part of this non-profit, customer-driven force “for good, […] to make life simpler, fairer and safer for everyone.”

"Just had Greenman Stoves install my Woodburner for me. Great local team, really friendly and supportive. Gave lots of advice on what i could and perhaps shouldn't do. Helped ensure the stove i wanted would fit properly, basically did everything for me. Install was quick, and the guys went out of their way to ensure the finish was top notch. Had it for about a week, love it. I'll never get tied of setting a good fire on a cold evening. Totally recommend..."
